Professor George Tsakos from University College London (UCL), an internationally renowned expert in oral epidemiology, will be delivering talk on Emerging Research and Policy Priorities for Oral Health Equity at the HEAL-Oral Health Open Meeting.

Georgios Tsakos is Professor in Dental Public Health at UCL. He has served as President of the European Association of Dental Public Health, President of the Behavioural Epidemiological and Health Services Research group in the International Association of Dental Research (IADR), and as Chair of the Platform for Better Oral Health in Europe. He contributes to the work of the World Health Organisation (the UCL Dental Public Health Group is a WHO Collaborating Centre of Oral Health Inequalities and Public Health), and in World Dental Federation (FDI) programmes. In 2023, he received the IADR Distinguished Scientist award for Behavioral, Epidemiologic and Health Services Research.
Professor Tsakos is at the forefront of shifting the dental public health paradigm from downstream clinical management to upstream political economy analysis. Attending his session provides several distinct advantages for researchers aiming to build high-impact, policy-responsive research programs:
